Why did we create diffusers for dogs?
We have always loved dogs and want to see them tail wagging and happy, unfortunately, there are a whole number of things that can unsettle our fluffy friends. From busy households, fireworks and everything in between. We created a product that will aid you in providing a calming, relaxing environment for your dog.
We wanted to do this with out medication and so came up with the dog focused reed diffuser. It's a safe, subtle, medication free way of helping unsettled dogs.
Your dogs health in mind.
At Apothecary Bliss, we create our scents with your dog’s nose in mind. It is a well known fact that dogs have a nose that's 10,000 times stronger that our own.
Most home fragrance diffusers have a powerful scent that fills the room, however they are too harsh for a dogs nose and can have negative effects due to their intensity.
Our diffusers are created by hand with scents aimed at having beneficial effects for your pets, like calming and anxiety reducing without the need for medication. At a lower intensity than usual home diffusers to provide the benefits of the essential oils whilst still filling your home with an amazing smell.
They are safe for your dog.
The fragrance is made from essential oil from the plant itself and so its as safe as having the plant in your home. We use essential oils that are deemed safe when diffused into the air.
The base is made from non-GMO plant oils being predominantly rapeseed oil and sunflower oil. No antioxidants, preservatives, nano-materials, or Glycol ethers are used at any stage. The base oil is eco-friendly, low carbon footprint and non toxic (in line with IFRA standards).
As well as our own research, a vet has approved all the ingredients contained in our reed diffusers. The ingredients pose no safety issues when inhaled through diffusers but of course are toxic when ingested so please do your best to keep the diffusers out of the reach of your pets and children.
Using them safely.
To ensure the diffusers are used safely and most effectively being for your dogs health, there are a number of things to bare in mind.
- Keep out of reach and on a stable surface
- Keep in a spacious room
- Never lock your dogs in a small room with the diffuser to get rid of bad smell, that's not what they were designed for.
- For best performance, flip the reeds once a week.
- Space out the reeds evenly for best performance.
- A room will only hold so much in the air, make sure to ventilate your room to allow for better diffusion rate, you will notice a difference.
